Install a client certificate in Google Chrome
For a Microsoft Windows operating system (7/10)
On Windows, the Google Chrome browser relies on the Windows certificate store. The procedure for installing a certificate is therefore exactly the same as for Internet Explorer. Click "Import":
Then click "Next":
Click "Browse", select your certificate and click "Open" :
Important : If you install a personal certificate, choose the option "Place all the certificates in the following store" then choose "Personal".
If you want to install an other kind of certificate (an intermediaray authority for example), click the "Automatically select the certificate store based on the type of certificate" then click "Next":
A recap page opens, check the information and click "Finish":

For a Linux distribution
On Linux distributions, unlike Windows, the client certificate must be installed in the Google Chrome store
- o install a client certificate on Google Chrome go to the icon representing the 3 small vertical dots at the top right and choose "Settings".
- In the search bar, type "Manage certificates". As you enter, the "Manage certificates" option will appear. Click on it.
- In the "Your certificates" tab, click on "Import"
- Fill in your certificate in PFX format
Possible uses
You can now use this certificate:- Under Windows:
- with Chrome (authentication to access web sites)
- with Outlook 2010/2013/2016 by configuring it (if the certificate includes an Email field), see Import a client certificate in Outlook 2010/2013/2016
- with an other software using Windows registry
- Under Mac:
- with Chrome (authentication to access web sites)
- with Mail (if your certificate holds an email field, see Signature/cypherment with Mail Mac OS 10.3+
- with Entourage (if your certificate holds an email field), see Signature/cypherment with Entourage
- Under Linux:
- with Chrome (authentication to access web sites)
