TBS INTERNET
SGC IS ABOUT TO DISAPPEAR SGC (Server Gated Cryptography) is dying and its final disappearance is scheduled for the end of 2015.
THE TRUTH ABOUT BROWSERS
AND, SO WHAT?
INCOMPATIBILITY
Only browsers released before 2001 requires SGC extension to enforce 128-bit encryption. They represent less than 1% of web browsers in use.

They are not compatible with SHA256.

THAT IS THE REASON WHY SHA256 SGC CERTIFICATES DO NOT EXIST.

That is also the reason why SGC certificates will cease being issued at the end of 2015 along with SHA1 certificates.
AND THE CERTIFICATION AUTHORITIES?
WHAT ARE THEY PLANNING?

Comodo and TBS X509 SGC certificates will disappear on December 31st, 2015 as long as SHA1 certificates.

Thawte is planning the end of its SuperCert range of products for mid-2015. The impacted customers, then need to already think about a replacement solution.
WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS?
You want to keep the highest security level available?
Go for Extended Validation certificates.
You simply want to stay with your certification authority?
Then take a look at our standard certificates range of products.
