How to delete a certificate on Windows Server
If you tried to install a p7b certificate file on a sever which didn't have its private key, it is possible that your certificate was imported but isn't usable and that it is blocking any PKCS#12 (.pfx or .p12) certificate file import. To solve this problem, you need to delete the certificate from the MMC and to re-import it with its private key.1- Launch the MMC
Direct link to launch the certificates' manager:Click on Start, execute, enter certmgr.mmcthen click OK.
Or use the following instructions:
- Click on Start then select Run and type mmc
- Click on the File menu and select Add/Remove Snap-in
- Choose Add , select in the Standalone Snap-inlist then click Add
- Choose Computer Account then click Next
- Choose Local Computerand click on Finish
- Close the window and click OK in the parent window.

Delete a certificate
- Search your certificate in the tree. It probably is in thePersonnal folder .
- Right click on your certificat and select Delete .
- Confirm the suppression.
- You certificate has now been deleted
