PDF signing with PDF-XChange

Here's how to sign a PDF document in PDF-Xchange:

  • In the "Protect" tab, click on "Sign document"

  • In the window that appears, choose a certificate from the operating system store or choose the certificate directly from a file.

  • By clicking on "View Certificate" you can check if the certificate that will be used to sign the document corresponds to the expected one.

  • In the second part, fill in the fields as desired.

  • If you want to time stamp your document, check the "Use timestamp server" box. You can then choose a server from the drop-down list or, by clicking on "Change", you can edit and choose another server (ex: http://timestamp.comodoca.com?td=sha256)

  • Finally click on "Ok" to add the signature
