Install a Certigna ID RGS* certificate (software format) on Internet Explorer
Installation of the certificate
After having downloaded and accepted your Certigna ID RGS* certificate, double-click on your .p12 file. Windows wizard opens:
- Select "Local user" and click on "Next"
- Check the path to your file and click on "Next"
- Enter your certificate's protection password (it has been defined during your certificate download) and click on "Next"
- Click on "Séelect automatically" and click on "Next"
- Clik on "Finish"
A message appears confirming the success of your certificate installation. Click on "OK".
Installation of the certification chain
After the installation of the certificate you'll have to install the certification chain:
- Download the corresponding intermediate certificate : Certigna ID RGS*
- Click on the downloaded file to open it
- Click on "Actual user" and click on "Next"
- Click on "Select automatically" then on "Next"
- Click on "Finish"
A message appears confirming the success of your certificate installation. Click on "OK".
Check the certificate installation
To make sure the certificate is correctly installed, follow the procedure:
- Open Internet Explorer
- Click on "Tools" / "Internet Options"
- Go on the "Content" tab
- Click on "Certificates"
- Go on the "Personal" tab and left-click on your certificate
- Click on "View"
- Go to the "Certification path" tab
- You should see 3 elements: the root certificate, the intermediate and your client certificate. If the chain is not complete you'll have to install the intermediate authority.
