20201209 - Modification of the audit process for Sectigo and TBS X509 SSL certificates

With the toughening of the audit standards edited by the CA/B Forum, the audit processes for Sectigo and TBS X509 SSL certificates won't be assured by TBS anymore in the next few days.

The processing of the audits

It will have consequences on the certificates delivery process. In particular:

• The TBS phone call will be replaced by a Sectigo automated call back: a message will be sent to the corporate contact in order to let him trigger the call and get the validation code;
  
  
• The organisation phone number will have to be up-to-date and listed in a valid directory or be present in the DUNS base;
  
  
• If the phone call cannot be completed then the validation code is sent by postal mail;
  
  
• The automation mechanisms being different a new audit will have to be performed in order to reactivate them;
  
  
• The automation will sent a validation e-mail to confirm each issuance.

The remaining parts of the process are unchanged.

The orders follow-up

A new window will be available on your order status page to visualize your audit process progress and inform you should Sectigo need additional information.

The options

As we no longer are in charge of the audit we won't be able to provide the express option for server certificate requests. The option will disappear in a few days as well.

The transition period

TBS team is at your disposal and remains available to ease your certificates issuance and guide you during the transition.
