TBSCertBot - Dashboard and agents tracking
Are you using our TBSCertBot tool to manage your SSL certificates? You can now accurately track each of your agents.
Reminder: What is TBSCertBot?
TBSCertBot is a command-line tool that uses our API to allow you to automate the renewal, reissue, and installation of your certificates directly on your servers or on a centralized machine.
What information is presented in the dashboard?
agents list
A TBSCertBot agent is an instance of the tool installed on a server and using specific API access.
First, the Agents homepage presents a table listing all active agents. It displays their name (customizable from your TBSCertBot configuration file), IP address, associated API user, TBSCertBot version, and the date and time the agent last manifested itself.
State of the agents
From this list it is possible to quickly identify inactive agents that potentially have a problem.
Displayed:
- in green: agents who have been active in the last 25 hours
- in orange: agents who have not launched for more than 25 hours
- in red: agents who have not launched for more than 72 hours
Agent Archiving
From this page, you can archive or unarchive your agents to show or hide them from your dashboard.
Filters and display options
It is possible to configure your dashboard to show or hide different types of available information.
Agents details
By clicking on the name of an agent, you access a page dedicated to it. It contains the main information from the previous page but also the list of certificates managed by the agent (ordered by the agent or imported later) as well as some information about them: product, expiration (of the certificate and/or the plan), last update by the agent or monitoring.
The same color coding is used here to tell at a glance when the agent last updated an order.
additional features
From the agent details page, you can view the monitoring results and request immediate reissue of your certificates.
It is also possible to modify the monitoring settings for your certificates from this page.
Is tracking enabled by default?
To track your agents, you must have installed version 0.9.3+ of TBSCertBot. Once installed, the agent is detected and identified during its first operation. Tracking is then in place.
How to configure TBSCertBot to optimize your agent monitoring?
To take advantage of all the features of the tool, we recommend that you launch your TBSCertBot twice a day by activating a cron.
Where is the TBSCertBot agent tracking page?
It is accessible from your Certificate Center, “Automation” section, TBSCertBot agents”.
Want to get started and use TBSCertBot?
First, if you haven't already done so, you need to open a Certificate Center (free and without obligation).
Once done, follow the instructions that you will find in the “Documentation” section, TBSCertBot”.
