Windows Communication Foundation (WCF)

WCF make it possible to create different forms of secured communications.

If you want to secure transfers, you'll only need a SSL server certificate. To secure messages you'll need client certificates (such as TBS X509 Sign & Login certificate). Note that you can secure messages (digital signature) through transfer security, including enryption, but it may be complicated to manage or distribute the certificates.
