CoPiBoT: return = 33 : BAD SERIALS
The certificate is valid but the serial number is not the one expected

this code indicates that the certificate found on the server has a different serial number than the one we have delivered.
  • If you recently renewed or reissued your certificate you probably have forgotten to install the new certificate. You must install the more recent certificate. Follow our installation instructions.

  • Did you activate the new certificate for each service / protocol of your Exchange server or ReverseProxy / Firewall (VPN). Indeed on some server / security interfaces, a self-signed certificate is installed by default. When installing your certificate you must link the latter to all the services and replace the former certificate. Consult your server or interface documentation.

  • Otherwise your server is probably wrongly configured and the certificate displayed is not the one attended. Do you have several certificates? If so, did you mix them up? Is he DNS redirection correct?

  • Your network infrastructure is equipped with a load balancing or a reverse proxy, did you installed your certificate on the right server or interface?

  • You purchased several certificates for the same CN / FQDN (internet address). Our tool may run a test on the wrong server: check the connection IP address and the serial number associated to your certificate.
