Use Exchange for OWA
To use Outlook Web Access securely, an SSL certificate must be installed to prevent any interception of information (connection data and data contained in e-mails).
If you only use the OWA function of your Exchange server, a standard certificate is sufficient. However, if you use other functions (ActiveSync, CAS, autodiscover), follow the constraints of these protocols.
For Exchange 2007 and above, if you want to secure only a FQDN (for example "owa.domain.com"), you need a "standard" certificate (see our chart). In other cases, a Sectigo UCC certificate
