Install a Microsoft Authenticode certificate with IE 5.5, 6, 7 or 8 under XP
To install your Microsoft Authenticode certificate on your hard drive:- Go on your certificate's status page (you'll find the link in the delivery e-mail) with Internet Explorer
- Click on the button "Download the certificate"
- IE will ask you to save the .spc or .p7b file. Place it with your .pvk file (by default it is stored in C:\mykey.pvk )
To make a backup copy of your certificate, copy both your files (.pvk and .spc) and paste them on an other computer, USB device, CDROM...
If you need to import your .pvk and .spc files in the Windows registry, download Microsoft pvkimport tool
You will be able, with the latest version of this tool, to create a .pfx with the -pfx option.
To transform the certifcate in order to use it in other platforms,
