Renew a certificate with Microsoft IIS 5 or 6

If you need to renew a IIS5 or 6 certificate or to replace your certificate without disrupting the service, you have to:

1. Create a new website in IIS (with the "new web site creation" wizard and give fake data)
2. Create a certificate request on this fake website (if it is a renewal fill in the fields the same way you did for the original certificate; See our form). See Generate a CSR with Microsoft IIS5 or IIS6
3. Now you can place your renewal or reissuance order (Reissue) on our website
4. Import the newly issued certificate on the fake website. See Install a Microsoft IIS5 or IIS6 certificate
5. On the genuine website REPLACE the certificate to activate it
6. Delete the fake website

If you use the IIS5 or 6 "renew" function, you won't be able to install it in 50% cases.
